Calling all non-profits interested in preservation: The National Trust's "This Place Matters Community Challenge" is an opportunity for organizations to call attention to a place (a building, site, neighborhood, etc.) in your area that matters. The organization that collects the most public votes is awarded $25,000! (The grant is for the orginization in general and does'nt need to be used to preserve the nominated place.) Voting just opened and runs through September 15th, so apply now. This is a great opportunity for AAO members to raise awareness and rally support for historic preservation.
