The Hungarian Contemporary Architecture Center has launched a really cool new website which highlights seven architectural walks and bike rides that cover 64 buildings built in the last 20 years.
This first phase of the site consists only of buildings built after 1989. This historical date - the fall of the old regime - was defining in Hungarian art as well as everyday life. The overall aim of the site is to offer tours for those who wish to know more about contemporary Hungarian architecture. In its present form, the page is a first step in the creation of the contemporary Hungarian architecture map, which will soon be expanded to rural Budapest and later to all of Hungary.
The site is really well laid out and highly interactive - be sure to check it out!
