All too often marquee design projects in Dallas are awarded to outsiders, taking focus away from the excellent work that Dallas firms and architects are doing. The Dallas Center for Architecture’s current exhibition turns the tables on this idea and spotlights the creative and innovative marquee design projects that local architects are doing for clients internationally.
Seven of Dallas’ finest architecture firms are represented in the show with 22 projects from around the world. Buildings range from single residences to hotel towers, churches to convention centers, and art centers to hospitals. Featured projects are located in Asia, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the Middle East. Architecture firms represented are: 5G Studio, Beck, HDR, HKS, Jacobs, RTKL and SHW.
The exhibition will run at the Dallas Center for Architecture through November 8, 2013. The Center is open from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Center is located at 1909 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Suite 100, directly across Klyde Warren Park from the Dallas Museum of Art.
